Essential verbs - avoir

Overview:
Time to look at one of the most important verbs to learn in French! This is one of the most commonly used verbs so try and remember it!

Objective:
To recognise and conjugate To have in French.
Ask yourself have you? or have you not?

AVOIR - To Have
We are going to explain the verb TO HAVE: AVOIR ( présent de l'indicatif ).
Put simply the Indicative relates to the mood of the verb and present to the tense.

By present tense we are referring to something that is occurring now.

Whereas earlier we came accross the REGULAR -ER ending verbs. AVOIR is the first verbs we come accross that is IRREGULAR, in that it doesn't match a set pattern.
